ISO 216 is the international standard for paper sizes, and includes sizes such as A4, A3, etc. Here is a list some the A, B and C series sizes, and also some common US paper sizes.

Introduction

ISO 216 paper sizes were first introduced in 1975 and have since beed adopted by many countries throughout the world. A and B sizes were followed, with the ISO 269 C envelope sizes being introduced in 1985. The standard follows on from the German DIN 476 standards, which were in place from the first half of the twentieth century
